I'd be interested in joining the group as well. I have a Wrt-54GL ready to flash, but have to use the stock antennas for now. I'm in desert ridge. Any chance of me connecting to the mesh? |

Cool, thanks Wil! It looks like I'll need one with an rp-tnc connector. I heard that there is a lot of loss associated with the coaxial cables... Should I just try to find one with the shortest coax? Douglas, yeah I'd definitely like to be on the list. I'll shoot you an email. |

A better antenna is a far, far better choice than an amplifier in the majority of cases.
[KE7VGW 2015-04-08- 10:10:42]: Next step is getting a better antenna and maybe some type of amplifier??? Does anyone have a recommendation on what kind of antenna would work? Preferably something affordable. |

Hello Patrick. I owe you an apology. The antennas I suggested are crap. Sorry about that but they are not my design.
A much better yagi is the one sold by MFJ.
Have a look at http://www.mfjenterprises.com/Product.php?productid=MFJ-1800.
Also, since you have a GS model, have you considered tunneling yet?

The Superstition ARC just installed a node at the "Stone Castle" repeater site near Brown and the Loop 202. So, no, it's not dead. |

For a WRT54G, what channel is everyone on in Phoenix. I have mine set at 1. I don't think that's the right channel? |

Setup one node in mesa around the main and power area using a bullet m2.. going to add another one in fountain hills soon with an airgateway. I have an extra bullet M2 and a few wrtg54gl's that are flashed, just need a place to put them if someone has some potential sites. |

I see on the Google site that there is one node listed in Sierra Vista, AZ. Will see what transpires when I get down there. Wes AE6ZM
