Those who are interested in the Broadband-Hamnet effort in the Huntsville / Madison County area are invited to attend a meeting on Wends. 23 October 2013. This will be at the Huntsville / Madison County Public Library on Saint Clair Ave., Huntsville, Ala.

It will be in Meeting Room C which is on the second floor of the library and will start at 6:30 pm.  We will have the room until the library closes at 9:00 pm.

If you have a router, laptop, or other small pertinent item bring it along.

There will be a meeting of the Huntsville Broadband Hamnet Special Interest Group on the evening of Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Huntsville Madison County Library on Saint Clair Ave,. Huntsville AL.

We will be reviewing the efforts that each of us has made, our plans, and any problems we have encountered.  Each one should voice their opinion and help to chart a process to get Broadband-HamNet operating in Madison County.

This should be a good opportunity for all to discuss what has been accomplished since the October meeting and to express their opinions on how we should proceed in the effort to get Broadband - Hamnet operating in Madison County.

Hello Darryl, Bob,

Trying to gauge how much interest there is in mesh in your area. Two reasons... First is my Mom lives in Pulaski, TN not too far away from Huntsville and when I make trips up there I might bring so gear with me to test to see if my portable node would join the mesh when we go to Huntsville... Second, I'm trying to get people interested in my neck of the woods (Panhandle of FL) and there doesn't seem to b a lot of interest. I think I have a couple of takers but we'll see as I assemble stuff...

How did your meeting go on the 30th?
